Special Force is a Seattle-based Jamaican roots reggae band led by Jamaican-born vocalist Hainzle Augustus Malcolm, also known as Selassie I Soldier. The band blends deep bass, classic roots reggae, original songs, and uplifting live energy built for festivals, clubs, and community events. With connections to Jamaica’s recording tradition and performances at major Northwest events including Bumbershoot and Seattle Folklife, Special Force brings authentic reggae with soul, power, and purpose.

The JAGZ Reunion and Special Force play a very special event that is 40 years in the making.

JAGZ reunion concert. Joining the JAGZ on the bill is Special Force. We are having a reunion of The JAGZ, my band from 1985. It is the first time in 40 years we have all been together in the same place so we’re going to celebrate with a JAGZ performance of 80s music along with Special Force my current reggae group. I hope you can attend. Come one come all, we have lots of room, lots of free parking and no cover charge to hear these great bands and be a part of this historic JAGZ reunion. It’s ’s all going to happen March 15 that’s a Sunday. It is an afternoon show from 4pm to 7pm. It’s going to be held at the very awesome Club SUR, 2901 1st Ave S. Seattle.
